What is Accreditation?

Accreditation is the process of establishing trust, confidence, and credibility. As Webster defines it: “to give trust or confidence to; to vouch for; to recommend; to furnish with credentials, as an envoy or ambassador.”

In alignment with ISO 17011:2004, accreditation is described as: a third-party attestation related to a conformity assessment body, conveying a formal demonstration of its competence to perform specific assessment tasks.

Euroac provides accreditation services for Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) and Training/Educational Institutions. This process ensures these entities demonstrate formal competence to carry out certification, inspection, registration, verification/validation, testing, calibration, and educational activities.

By offering independent assessment and recognition, Euroac enables the outputs of accredited organizations—such as tests, examination reports, and certificates—to be acknowledged and accepted as equivalent by institutions across different countries.
