- Applicants must thoroughly review the Accreditation Scheme Manual, focusing on:
- Requirements for granting and maintaining accreditation.
- The current fee structure.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, such as ISO/IEC 17021 and any additional requirements specified by Euroac, such as the “Responsible Education Provider™” standard.
- Applicants must thoroughly review the Accreditation Scheme Manual, focusing on:
- Prepare the Application
- Applicants must confirm they have the necessary resources to perform activities within the requested scope and agree to pay all associated fees, regardless of the accreditation outcome.
- Complete the application form, including all required documentation, and submit it along with the applicable fees.
- Initial Review
- Euroac reviews the submitted application and documentation against relevant accreditation criteria.
- Applicants receive a report outlining any deficiencies that must be addressed before progressing to the next stage.
- Office and Witness Assessments
- Applicants make arrangements for assessments, providing access to all areas, records, and personnel.
- Euroac appoints an assessment team to conduct on-site evaluations of the applicant’s offices and other relevant locations.
- Assessment Report
- After completing the assessments, the team prepares a detailed report with findings and recommendations for the Accreditation Approval Committee (AAC).
- Decision Making
- The AAC reviews the assessment report and determines whether accreditation should be granted:
- If approved, the applicant signs the Accreditation Agreement and receives a Certificate of Accreditation.
- If not approved, the applicant is informed of the reasons and may reapply later.
- The AAC reviews the assessment report and determines whether accreditation should be granted:
- Ongoing Compliance
- Accredited organizations undergo regular surveillance visits to ensure continued compliance with accreditation criteria.
- A full reassessment occurs every three years.
Key Considerations
- Applicants must demonstrate adherence to international standards and Euroac’s specific accreditation requirements.
- Consistent evaluations and reassessments ensure that accredited organizations maintain high standards of competence and credibility.
By following these steps, organizations can achieve and maintain accreditation, reinforcing their trustworthiness and international recognition.
